Dr. John A. Lunn, Sr.
Dr. John A. Lunn, Sr. is a native of Baltimore,
MD. He is the Pastor of Berean Baptist Church (of Baltimore City). He holds a Bachelor of Arts
from Morgan State University; a Master's in Education from Coppin State College (now University); a Master's in Theology from
St. Mary's Seminary and University; and a Doctorate in Ministry from Howard University, Washington, D.C.
Dr. Lunn is a multi-faceted educator
with the unique ability to teach on many different levels. He is a much sought after seminary and workshop leader known
throughout the city of Baltimore, nationwide and even internationally, having spoken the word as far away as the Bahamas. He
is currently on the academic staff of St. Mary's Seminary and University. Dr. Lunn is the Dean of the United
Baptist College and Seminary. On March 1, 2008, Rev. Lunn was honored to have been elected as
the 1st Vice President of the New England Missionary Baptist Congress of Christian Education. After 31 years
of teaching, he retired from the Howard County Public Schools in 2003.
Lunn's numerous professional and community affiliations include, but are no means limited to: The Interdenominational Ministerial
Alliance, The Baptist Ministers Conference of Baltimore & Vicinity currently serving as President, The
NAACP, The United Baptist Missionary Convention, The African American History and Life Association, The Maryland State
Teachers Association, and The Howard County Educational Association.
Dr. Lunn is married to the former Natasha Jones. He is the father
of five children and the grandfather of four.
